Philip Taylor

The Cordwainer

There a just a few shoemakers in the United Kingdom with the skills and expertise to assess, measure, fit clients with the most complex footwear needs. Philip Taylor started his life in shoemaking at eleven years of age, as a result of contracting polio as a child he has attained a unique insight into the needs, frustrations and aspirations of people with disabilities.  He is now busy creating a team of shoemakers capable of emulating this work, and values highly his links with the NHS in providing a better service for patients who have found difficulty getting the correct footwear supplied.
